Good value for buffet £5 |
Economy is the highlight here. The buffet selection is just like other low-end vegetarian eateries in London (perhaps the phenomenon is more widespread?). There's a wide selection of good, hot food. This latter attribution - hot food - serves to distinguish this buffet from others. All-in-all a good place to eat at. |
Wow! While on vacation, this place is like vegan heaven! Could believe the wide array of styles & dishes available. Everything from a vegan "shrimp" & broccoli platter, (didn't try the shrimp because it's just "not my thing", but was still impressed it was there) sea veggie platters (expensive stuff!) bamboo shoots salad (loved it) string bean salad (also very good!) all sorts of mock meats (I also don't eat these & was quite full w/the 20 other things I had....) Definitely worth traveling out of your way for this impossibly priced (5.50 pounds for lunch, 6.50 for dinner)- all you can eat buffet in a very quaint locale & fabulous neighborhood! |
Lovely, delicious and healthy food, excellent value for money at £5 per person for lunch, £6 for dinner. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good variety of food such as noodles, rice, seaweeds, chinese salad and much more! |
Nicely done place for vegans. Good value for buffet. |
Buffet style joint offering up a wide selection of food. The chief negative aspect of the food is it's lukewarm temperature; though here I'd say it is just warm enough to leave a neutral impression - better than another buffet place I've been to. Doubtful as to the foods cleanliness since there's nothing to prevent contamination either from other foodstuffs or from peoples reaching over to obtain a portion. Price is low, so if your not concerned about sanitation or insufficiently heated food this one makes for a decent lunch stop. |
Nice little place, friendly people, lots of dishes to choose from and insanely cheap, but everything seems to be (stir)fried in oil. Very greasy food, so it's a bit heavy on the stomach :-(. Also a lot of fake meats (gluten), so not recommended for people with gas issues *lol* |
When I first visited Jashans some 8 years back when the food was fresh and very tasty. As the years have gone on the standard of food and service has just spiraled out of control! Service now is terrible, dishes arrive at your table willy nilly in no particular order! We ordered 3 starters and between all of us we almost finished 2 starters and out came the 3rd. |
We went their to dine with our American friends who were very fond of Indian food. The food was very bland with no taste at all. Though they try to show that everything is prepared fresh but all the curries were looking and tasting like they were prepared a few days back. |
Food was excellent, not overly spicy or hot and not over salted. A thoroughly recommended restaurant. |

A long established, family run restaurant on Kingsbury High Street serving a diverse variety of Gujarati, Jain and Indo-Chinese food. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a full dinner, Rose Veg will please. Their Bombay chaat is a delicious tongue teaser and their extensive Indo-Chinese menu will be sure to please all those looking for something a little different. From their drinks menu, their super yummy chiku milk shake hits the spot and is a nice alternative to the standard sweet, salty or mango lassi. I've also had the ragra patties, aloo papri chaat and dahibhala chaat and they're all excellent and the best thing about all of them are the portion sizes. They're crazy huge and fit for a king! My absolute favourite things to order at this restaurant are their wide selection of paratas which you can have them make-to-measure by specifying what stuffing's you want added. |
My favorite indian place, I have enjoyed EVERY dish. The portions are big and very affordable. The only thing that I would like to see in the future are vegan desserts. The ones in the display case are sorely tempting, teasing is not nice! Please have them in the future. *puss in boots eyes* |
The food was absolutely fantastic! As a vegetarian it is always great to find a place where you have a wide choice of dishes but a non-vegetarian would be equally happy here. It is not a place for a romantic dinner but if you are just looking for great Indian food at a great price this is the place. We felt like we had discovered something very special. We had children with us and they were made to feel very welcome. |

The food they served is terrible, it's soaked with oil and far too salty. There's mostly soya stuff and almost no vegetables. The atmosphere is hectic and the staff very polite. I will never eat in any of those Tai veg type of buffet, they all taste the same : horrible. |
Trust Me! it's all rubbish food serving in any Tai Buffet!!! I was working there for 1 year and i know very well how we cook and prepare for every dish. Basically you can never see a proper chef in the restaurant because every staff inside has to learn how to "COOK" the dishes. There have no proper kitchen as usual orient restaurant. Most of the foods are just simply re-heat in microwave or deep fried, add salt and serve on...(Including the broccoli that you might feel delicious and fresh.... ) Beside that, the so call "Fried Rice" are made once or twice a week for few days usage. They'll only reheat in the microwave and serve, the same way of cooking goes to other noodles. |
This place offers a wide selection of food buffet style and from which you get a good amount for the price. This is the only thing going for them. I went once just soon after they opened and the food was not warm enough; a sign that its quite unlikely to be warmer even later in the day. The manner in which the food is laid out leaves the impression that sanitation isn't much of a concern. As for taste, mediocrity is the score. |
Excellent choice of tasty food, for everyone, and great value for money too. Friendly and helpful staff, can't wait to go back |
Never will you find another place that serves so many vegan dishes. They even have vegan fish and chips!! The quality of the food here is brilliant and with good portion sizes so you leave feeling satisfied. Occasionally they have home made vegan cake which is lovely. The staff are always helpful in tailoring dishes to each individual's dietary needs so you don't need to fret about asking. This is a place you must try-absolutely lovely |
Love the food, this is where I get my fix of vegan Asian cuisine in London. Their menu is too good, and I'm bonded to it where I can't even be bothered to check out the buffet -- even when everyone in line is anxiously happy. Try the mixed hors d'oeuvres if you can't settle on something from the appetizers list -- compilation of the best. My personal favorite is the crispy seaweed, it's savory with a hint of crispy sweetness. King prawn in butter sauce is best thing here, comes out piping hot and still bubbling in its thick sauce! Singapore noodles, chicken fried rice, and house special noodles should be ordered too. Everything is filling. I always a couple items thinking that I have enough room for dessert, never the case. I disappoint myself! All of the desserts look really good and exotic, I'm definitely going to try out the banana fritter with ice cream, mango delight, and bati kulfi -- yes, all 3 in one sitting. Can't wait! |
Superb menu. Fine chefs. Fun live music. Really good value for money. Eager and obliging staff; very willing to make veggie dishes without yogurt, milk, ghee. |
We were very glad to find this 100% vegetarian buffet, close to the underground station, at Shepherd's Bush. We ate here 3 times at least, because it's good and "all you can eat" for less than 10 pounds. There are no many options for desert, but after all, the fruit salad is good with dried coconut and grapes. |
The food was at best bland, dripping with grease and often cold. Some dishes in the buffet were utterly foul and inedible. After a couple of mouthfulls we asked for a refund but were shouted at and told that as none of the other customers were complaining, we had no right to. We were refused a full refund and after agreeing to pay the price of one take out meal instead, were tricked into paying for 2 (as once we had handed over a 10 pound note there was no way we were getting the right amount of change back..). If their attitudes hadnt been so aggressive the less than mediocre food could have been forgiven and this review probably not written. |

We went there to dine with our American friends who were very fond of Indian food. The food was very bland with no taste at all. Though they try to show that everything is prepared fresh but all the curries were looking and tasting like they were prepared a few days back. |

Can't wait! |
