Al Waha

Lovely, elegant atmosphere in a bustling, lively neighborhood, very relaxed and comfortable restaurant with careful, attentive service. The best hummous i've ever had, and the selection of starters is amazing, salads are fresh and beautifully seasoned. Went with some vegan and gluten-free friends, and everyone was able to have an incredible meal. A superb selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes

Carnevale

I've been eating out a lot in London lately (it's great not having to wash the dishes)and have certainly had a varied experience. Some of the old established veggie places I always thought were good just don't hit the mark any more. But thankfully Carnevale is still as good as it always was. I hadn't been there in a couple of years but I'll certainly be returning much quicker and don't know why I haven't been back sooner! The atmosphere is lovely and intimate; it's a small, cosy place. And the food really shone when my friend and I went there a few weeks ago.

The menu isn't huge but the food was delicious. Even the "bangers and mash" which didn't look too appealing when it came out, tasted amazing. I had the panisse which came with a lovely vegetable sauce and quite a big salad. For dessert the chocolate raspberry roulade was amazing- one of the best vegan cakes I've eaten.

Felafel Queen

If you fancy having a wander round Camden Market while eating a falafel and pitta and chips then visit Falafel Queen.

i am pretty sure those were pickled turnips! the cool thing is, there was just LOADS of appetizing stuff there and you could be like, “i’ll take that, and THAT and thaaat…” and she just keeps filling up the pita. hell yeah!

Hummus-Southampton

I just thought I'd let everyone know that I really like this place. I've been to the one in Soho many times for lunch and will keep going back. It's always been quite busy for dinner, so I thought I'd try booking for a large group of friends, I was told that they don't take booking in the soho branch but the newly opened (this was a little while ago) branch in the city would be happy to take our reservation. When we got there, we discovered we had the whole upstairs bit to ourselves (about twenty of us I think). I can honestly say it was one of the best nights out I've organised. Good food, very friendly and attentive staff, excellent value and to have the whole area to ourselves just made the evening.

Hummus-Wardour

Thought I would try something different for lunch today, so wondered down to Hummus Bros. Ordered a small Hummus with vegetable salad for takeaway. Looked appealing and so hurried back to the office to eat my something different for lunch. However, as I sit at my desk eating my lunch I can say that the hummus came as somewhat of a disappointment. I have tasted better hummus and this just did not cut the mark. Will not be venturing out at lunch to Hummus Bros again. Disappointed.

It's great. The food is fabulous. The best hummus, and felafel you're likely to get, and at a great price. We love to go to the Soho one and sit in the window watching people go by whilst stuffing ourselves with some seriously tasty food.

Maoz Felafel

Have been coming here for years and it still stands as the best falafel I've ever had. The service is very friendly too. Get one to go and then run round the corner and eat it in the church yard on a bench with the squirrels.

This one is cleaner and more spacious than others I've been to (Netherlands, Paris, Belgium). The food comes in fairly large amount if you're keen on the healthy accompaniments a la salad bar, tastes good, and is priced sensibly. Place makes for a good lunch or dinner

Mr Felafel

Some of the best falafel I've ever had - served with an amazing spicy sauce and a slice of eggplant. The owner is friendly and the price, especially in London, is more than reasonable.

Mr Falafel has a really good range of different Falafel wraps to choose from (and food without Falafels if you prefer). Everything is freshly made, no microwaves in sight. There is a video camera on the immaculate food preparation area if you are the suspicious type but there is no need. The main thing is that the food is delicious. Really nice flavors, well mixed. Healthy too, with lots of salads and most of it is vegan.

My Village

One of my favourite local cafes. Now that I've moved from Chalk farm I miss it terribly. Part cafe, part food shop. Super cute atmosphere with wooden tables, chairs, magazines, just very comfy and warm. Great music. The owner, a Kurdish/Korean man is super nice - always gives us hot chocolate or soup samples in little shot glasses. I love their soy hot chocolate and how they have no surcharge on soy milk.

I really enjoy my soups, especially on a downer of a day. I got a bowl of their soup of the day, which was a mushroom rice with bits of corn and red pepper and fresh herbs.  The mushrooms were nice and chunky and the soup base was thick and delish. A bit of brown pita on the side and a freshly squeezed oj and I was set for lunch.

Provender Whole Foods

Service is friendly. Value is fine with a takeaway lunch at around six pounds. Hot foods available: rice, dhal, chick pea curry and a sort of veggie sausage casserole that has Mediterranean type vegetables in it. The hot food was kind of like a sort of home cooked food, pretty average as opposed to super special, but it was still pretty tasty.
